Let's just watch The Office reruns...

Every day can feature emotional spirals that would rival a Mario Kart track, but way less fun. One minute motivation is high, and then some random remark will hit it where it hurts, and lead to a trapdoor into the Upsidedown, feeling completely unmotivated and depleted.

And the only remedy you have right now is your sofa and nightly Office reruns.

Conflict feels just about as comfy as nails on a chalkboard, and will make your eyes leak like you’re chopping onions with a spoon. Your mind is as thorough at analyzing your social performance as JJ and Spencer is on their unSub’s profile, and the verdict makes it super off-putting to exit the confines of your comfort zone.

The incessant thoughts and beliefs are so annoying and exhausting but distraction or gratitude journals are just not cutting the mustard. There is so much faith, trust and pixie dust in trying to stay positive, but the constant rebounds into that negative space, has got you wondering if that is just your default, and if there is even any point in trying.

You’ll feel as light and free as a golden retriever with their head out the window, and a breeze-induced smile.

You are going to feel like I have your back, as you work through this stuff. You’re going to feel like I get it, that you’re not alone, and that I am actually hearing you. (not like your mate, Sally). Trust will come gradually with some discernment, of course, and I am honoured to be able to give you that safe space to begin your counselling journey wherever you want to start.

After our sessions, you’re going be logging off feeling lighter, like you can let your shoulders drop back, to make room for all that fresh air in your chest.

The connection you’ll feel with yourself is going to feel like a long-awaited homecoming. We are going to explore your past and present and design your future.

There are going to be some challenging moments where you build up the courage to finally broach something that’s been on your mind.

So get comfy and take the time to stretch out your arms, legs, back, and your mind. We will set an intention at the start of each session, which can be our north star on the journey to reaching your therapeutic goals. Don’t be surprised if we veer off for a minute though. A slight detour often brings up an unexpected ‘a-ha’ moment, which links back full circle to the original intention. And the connections you’ll make will be transformative.

I LOVE nerding-out just about anything to the point where I like to kick it poolside with a juicy textbook, (yay non-fiction) while I’m on vacation with my girlfriends. One of my best skills, is helping you feel less like you are on your own, by guiding discoveries into experiences similar to yours which have already been researched, and the best evidence based solutions.

Whatever you are feeling or experiencing right now is valid, and I am right here to cuss with you, hold space for your rage, your fears, and your joy. Ima' challenge you, cheer you on, and teach you some seriously powerful tools.
